It all works out...
We've just finished a look through the Book of Daniel in Point Man. My first thought when reading the last few chapters (Daniel 11-12) was the sheer and utter chaos of the events that were predicted. Daniel gets a look at a bunch of seemingly unrelated events that would happen. There is going to be a bunch of kings. The king in the South will try to form an alliance with... but it won't succeed and then the king of the North will... and then this and that will happen...
Tons of detail, and I didn't quite know what to do with it (hmm, and I wonder what Daniel was thinking as he was hearing all this). But, then someone pointed out that it concludes with these words:
It's like an image of a chess game. God is giving Daniel a look at all the individual moves that are going into the game. But then, He lets us see the end result. God gives us an amazing chance to see how He makes seemingly chaotic events to all fall into a master plan.
It's a unique chance to see how God is handling things even when we feel like nothing is going right. This is an image of a powerful God, one who sees through all the individual moves to winning the game in the end. What a comfort! Nothing may be going right in the world as far as I'm concerned, but God looks to the end of the game and says "don't worry - the bad guys lose, the good guys win."

...yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.
...everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. We get to see all this detail, and then it comes to a simple conclusion: "all these things happen, but it all ends; no one helps the bad guy - oh yeah, and the good guys get rescued." There's this image of all these [seemingly] unrelated events but then we get to the end, and there actually is a purpose.
